Normal life has been severely hit in Kerala due to heavy rainfall, which has caused landslides and heavy flooding in several districts. Homes have been damaged, farmers’ crops have been destroyed, and power supply is disrupted in several areas. Communities have been rendered homeless with no food, shelter, essentials, or medical care.
Jeevan Jyoti has immediately gone on-ground with provision of emergency medical relief at relief camps and distribution of relief kits, i.e. dry rations & essential non-food items. Your donation will help us provide relief to many more affected elders and communities, in their time of urgent need.
There is a need of supplying shelter, medicines and emergency food supplies especially to older people who are among the most vulnerable during natural disasters.
The elderly also are more susceptible to the vagaries of nature as they are frail and much slower in getting relief or help available. Their immune system too is weaker which makes them easy victims to the cold and bad weather.
