Grass Root-Based: The relief and development of Jeevan Jyoti is community-based. Our staff reside with the communities at the grassroots – Live with them, learn from them, listen to them and work alongside them to find solutions to their state. An independent board exercises overall governance leadership, managing risks and ensuring compliance to statutory requirements. Partnering for Change: Jeevan Jyoti partners with communities, children, the Government, civil society, corporations, academia and faith-based organizations to build a nation ideal for children. Story Deepak suffered from one of the worst conditions prevalent in the Bharatpur region – Rajashthan. He frequently fell sick, causing excessive weakness in his frail body. Day by day, his immune system got weaker and he was finally admitted in the hospital for a severe case of diarrhoea. With the start of supplementary nutrition feeding programme in Bharatpur Melghat by Jeevan Jyoti Sewa Sanstha, things began to change. Along with other malnourished children, Krishna received supplementary food with high nutrient value. The children were fed at the Anganwadi, under the supervision of ASHA workers and Jeevan Jyoti volunteers. Thanks to the timely intervention, today Deepak is out of malnutrition. To ensure stable income to Krishna’s struggling family, Jeevan Jyoti Sewa Sanstha provided two goats to the family. They also received a kitchen garden, thus giving them access to fresh vegetables. Six-year-old Bharatpur from Delhi is a child sponsored by Jeevan Jyoti Sewa Sanstha. He studies in the Bharatpur Pub School, The unique feature of Jeevan Jyoti Sewa Sansthais Child Sponsorship program. For many children in need, poverty and hopelessness is a constant presence in their lives. Their lives do not hold much promise for a bright future. Caught in a cycle of poverty and exploitation, these children are lost to education and other forms of development. For Rs 300 every month, you can sponsor a child. Your sponsorship will provide a child with access to education, proper health care and clean drinking water.
